The extension of the Georgetown Innerloop was vital for the City of Georgetown and Williamson County transportation systems to provide a more direct thoroughfare on the eastern side of the city from Hwy 29 to FM 971 that crossed the North San Gabriel River. Chasco was chosen as the general contractor to construct over 1.5 miles of new roadway and an 800 foot concrete bridge than spanned 30 feet above the river. There was also extensive grading done on both sides of the roadway to form ditch lines to ensure proper drainage through several concrete culverts while maintaining access to the adjoining properties via private entrance roads. |
