The Georgetown Recreation center
project involved the expansion of
the existing facility adding 49,672 SF
of new space and renovation of
18,476 SF of the existing building.
The project was especially
challenging because the existing
Recreation Center remained open
and in continuous operation during
the construction process. Impact to
membership and ongoing Recreation
Center programming had to be
minimized. This was successfully
achieved with careful scheduling and
close coordination with City and
Recreation Center staff.
